ACT-U20 / Visual concept
Keep the actor, the purpose and the honest limit aligned.
A repair-clinic notice helps residents decide whether to attend. Repair the grammar and organization while preserving its honest limit: volunteers repaired 9 of 15 lamps, not every item.
ACT-U20 / Worked case
An opening modifier must attach to the person doing the action. The volunteer examines the lamp; the cable does not.
Collection is the singular subject, so use is. Join the complete clauses with a semicolon before however.
Keep the bounded 9-of-15 evidence. Remove the organizer’s photography hobby because it does not help the resident’s decision.
No. A sentence may be correct yet irrelevant or misplaced. Check purpose, sentence function and grammar in that order.
Concision must preserve the condition that makes the claim accurate. However signals contrast; it does not supply a clause boundary.
A practical study routine
Use the guide actively: make a decision before checking the answer, then bring the lesson into your next attempt.
Step 1
Start with a short set and note what slows you down.
Step 2
Review the answer rationale and the evidence that rules out alternatives.
Step 3
Bring repaired skills into mixed practice and check current ACT arrangements with the provider.

The repair-clinic notice is a good example of why grammar isn't the only thing to check. I like how the guide also asks whether each sentence belongs in that particular paragraph. Seeing the sentence decisions connected to the purpose of the notice makes the explanation feel much more usable.
The science example is useful because the answer stays tied to the comparison in the data. The explanation also keeps the study's limits clear, which makes the conclusion easier to judge.
The periodic-height problem does more than show a calculator result. It checks the time interval and finds the other valid time, so you can see why stopping after one answer would miss something.
The marsh passage is fairly involved. The commentary makes it easier to follow the proposal and objections without mixing a speaker's opinion with the narrator's position. That detail is worth the extra attention.
The writing model feels useful because the counterargument actually affects the recommendation. It gives a clear example of comparing perspectives, rather than adding a paragraph just to make an essay look balanced.
